Rick Perry Might Be Right

Now if you stay up with my blogs, you will notice that I joke and make outlandish statements occasionally. Now just like the rest of you, I though Rick Perry was off his rocker, but if you think about it, he might be absolutely right when he said that Texas should secede from the Union.

My liberal bias mind doesn’t always lean to the left, hence the name “FlipFlopper”, so just hear me out on this one.

What A Great State

What A Great State

A friend of mine and I were having a discussion about our nation and the lack of desire by the American People to make any drastic changes at a time when change is drastically needed. I will blog more about the conversation that lead up to my conclusion in my next post because I know your are chomping at the bit to ridicule my support for seceding from such a great nation.

Here is the point that friend made:

There are 2 parties running America, Republicans and Democrats. independents/libertarians can run for office, but will never get elected. Of the 300 something million people in America maybe 30 - 35 % of them care enough to try to change the way this country is ran.

Long story short, he pointed out that if America keeps going in the same direction, we are all going to be in a world of hurt before we realize it, and it really is already too late to be able to change the system. There is too much power, greed, and corruption involved.

So if there is no hope, why not start over? Why not live by a once great constitution? Why not change the election process? Why not look at the possibilities of undoing all of the wrongs while incorporating all of the rights?

Texas is a big state with 3 cities among top 10 cities in the United States. The environment is very diverse and Texas has a vast variety of natural resources.

We would not secede because Obama is screwing up, or because Bush drove this nation into the ground. No, we would seccede for the same reason’s our Four Fathers found “this” great nation. We would secede because there is a power that is greater than it’s people. We call it the American Government. If you honestly believe that America is for the people, by the people then you are only fooling yourself.

How is it possible that a President with a national popularity of 35% and less along with a congress of a 17% approval rating not get the boot? How can these people finish their terms? But we will try and kick a president out of office for doing something that you yourself have done.

So why not start over?

I can think of one thing, well actually I didn’t thing of it and it caught me off guard, and that is if Texas secedes, George W. could run for office. Scary… Thank you TopBreakingStories.

Oh… and by the way, if a Democrat hade even whispered the word “Secede” 2,4,6, or 8 years ago, he would have been thrown into a back alley, beat, and framed for murdering a prostitute.

Should Texas Secede?

Flip….The United States Army, under the command of U S Grant, settled the issue of Texas seceding from the Union around 1864… Unless we are prepared to raise a Army
(UNder the command of Rick Perry, Tom Delay, Two George Bushs, Kaye Bailey Hutchison and Russ Limbaugh??), under the threat of hanging for treason, and fight the Yankee sons of bitches again…after first kicking the Yankee troops out of Ft Hood, Ft Sam Houston and Fort Bliss..should be easy enough for us Texans, we are tough and god dammit we are smart, too!!)

However, I was taught, or I read many many years ago, that Texas entered the Union
by treaty rather than by becoming a territory and being voted in like other states, because Texas was a soveriegn nation when we joined the Union. As I understand it, by treaty, Texas has the option to divide into five states….East, West, North and South, plus Central Texas???, each with 2 Senators and population based numbers of members of Congress!! If we decided to exercise this option, I’m sure we wouldnt have to secede….the rest of the states would kick our stupid butts out. They couldnt risk
    multiplying John C by ten!!!

Any way, the voters of Texas, (of which I am one) are monumentally stupid people, who usually believe the most monumentally stupid things, and vote in monumentally stupid ways, and put up with monumentally stupid politicians, who say monumentally stupid things, and act in monumentally stupid ways…i.e., George Junior, Rick Perry, Gov. Clements, etc etc etc……We would run the risk of multiplying this inherent stupidity by five, etc etc, etc…

So I vote no to secession. (Possibly the United States should examine seceding from Iraq…I just read that they insist we be out of their cities by the end of June, which we apparently agreed to????Why dont we move the navy and its cruise missiles into the Gulf of Aden, and then just take our bat and ball out of Iraq, state Game Over, and
go back home to Ft Hood??

If Al Q. starts training Terrorists in Iraq, we rain navy and air force missiles on them
every time they come out of their bunkers. We can do this will we sit on the Somalis coast and stomp on their pirates at the same time,

World problems solved, my genius prevails, good nite.
